This antique Majolica Delft tile depicts the Biblical scene in which God creates Eve (Genesis 2 verse 25). The scene goes back to the work by Raphael, but on the tile God has been depicted as the 'Eye of Providence'. The tile was made in the Dutch city of Utrecht around 1840. It is in a very good condition.
